"Black and White Fine Art Photography"
Infrared Film is sensitive to light
we cannot see.
IR Photography turns reality into dream-like scenes. The human eye cannot see infrared light. It lies beyond the visible light spectrum. But you can take photographs with an infrared filter or infrared film, which produces intriguing effects, to peer into this world. Infrared photography is easy to begin but tough to master. It can take years of dedication and patience to fully apply the technique.
ARTIST
STATEMENT
My photography aims to strike an emotional chord with the individual viewing it. It should provide a peaceful retreat to mentally escape into.
I like Infrared for the surreal, ethereal and delicate images it creates. The world seems mysterious and dream-like....a perfect escape from the stress of everyday life.
Since Kodak Infrared Film in no longer produced,
many newer images are done digitally.
